The Website
The website is very easy to navigate. It is sleek, easy on the eyes and very user-friendly. Users can easily sign-up, scroll through the different features ZenVPN, get free trials or make a purchase.
Free Trial
ZenVPN not only offers a decent free trial, but also urges users to try the service (installation, connection, unblocking restricted websites, etc.) before purchase. This is a clear indication that ZenVPN are customer-oriented and more importantly, confident about the product they are marketing.
Furthermore, ZenVPN also offers a 30-day 100% money-back guarantee in case subscribers find their services unsatisfying or faced any unpleasant issues while using their services.
Accordingly, we have decided to give it a go with their free trial.
Installation & Configuration
ZenVPN follows the Zen rule, which is “simplicity & efficiency”. This VPN provider is very basic, yet solid when it comes to performance. The client is extremely simple with “zero configuration” as they have clearly stated on their website. All you need to do is register for a new account, install the client and you will be automatically connected to the nearest server to you. We were connected to “France” server.
As you can see in the image above, ZenVPN client is basic and doesn’t include any special settings or features.
Server Locations
One thing that is truly special about this simple, basic VPN service provider is its extensive network of servers. ZenVPN its servers branched out in 34 important locations around the globe, including: USA, UK, AUSTRALIA, GERMANY, SPAIN, ITALY, NORWAY, DENMARK, FRANCE, ISRAEL, MEXICO, JAPAN, SINGAPORE, RUSSIA, HONG KONG, SOUTH KOREA, BRAZIL, SWITZERLAND, CHILE, CANADA, INDONESIA, INDIA, TURKEY, SOUTH AFRICA, AUSTRIA and many more.
This impressive massive network of servers is a key element in making ZenVPN a quick & efficient VPN provider. Users can easily switch between those servers at any time they through just one click of a mouse to maintain a speedy connection with complete anonymity and avoid any hassle while surfing the web as well. In addition, users will be also able to bypass in geographical restrictions on the internet. In a nutshell, ZenVPN will let users gain access to any blocked web content on the internet fast, anonymously and securely.
Security & Privacy
ZenVPN does not keep traffic logs or any records of a user’s browsing history. However, as mentioned on their privacy policy section, the company only keeps some records for maintenance purposes, such as: bandwidth, original IP address.
” In order to troubleshoot and improve our website we maintain standard webserver logs that contain your IP address and the pages you have visited on our website with timestamps. This information is retained for 10 days.”
Furthermore, ZenVPN provides security while using Wi-Fi/Hotspots in public places. This is to make sure that users are protected at all times wherever they are from identity theft, hackers, or other third-parties.
Bandwidth & Encryption Protocols
ZenVPN offers limited bandwidth which is somehow disappointing. However, they do provide a bulky allowance of 5GB per day which is considerably enough for streaming videos.
On the other hand, ZenVPN uses high-level security protocols, such as: OpenVPN, which is compatible with almost all platforms and is considered to be the best in the market. Other encryption protocols provided by ZenVPN are PPTP, IPSec & OpenSSL.

Customer Support
We didn’t find an F.A.Q sections on their website, nor were we provided with web chat support. We could only communicate with ZenVPN by submitting a ticket on their “Contact Us” section. We find this not very supportive especially since they seem to be keen on a customer’s experience.
Conclusion
Based on our experience with ZenVPN we can say that it’s definitely fast, very easy to use, doesn’t cause any problems when downloaded on our systems. However, it’s overpriced especially when it only provides very basic options and lacks necessary features like: kill switch, troubleshooting services and using the client on more than one device.
